WEBBING We use polyester (PES) webbing as standard for our straps but polypropylene (PP) is available if required.
The webbing on our straps has a minimum safety factor of 3:1 which means that it will hold more than three times the load capacity (LC) rating shown on the sewn in label. The main hazard to avoid when using webbing straps is sharp edges or anything which would cause abrasion to the webbing, these problems can be minimised by using protective sleeves (shown below). Other methods exist to protect goods from damage by the metal parts of the strap or just from the webbing as it passes over the edge of the load, we can supply protective pads (shown below) and plastic corner protectors if required.
